AFAC is pleased to announce the new Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System (AIIMS) Awareness online course 2025, which will be released on Monday, 10 November.

This course has been updated to reflect the changes made to the recently released AIIMS manual, 2025 edition, whilst continuing to align with the accredited 22611VIC Course in Awareness of AIIMS.

The course develops an understanding of the principles and key concepts that underpin AIIMS. It incorporates a range of practical changes introduced in the new version of the manual which has made the system more flexible, inclusive, and safety focused, with safety first becoming an official principle of AIIMS.

The course consists of 7 modules and 3 assessment tasks, all of which can be completed fully online. The content will provide students with an awareness of AIIMS and is suitable for anyone who might be involved in supporting emergency management processes in their workplace or in support of emergency operations.
