The Fire Brigade Intervention Model (FBIM) Manual describes the model, how it should be used, and provides the necessary supporting data. As such, this document is largely self-contained and can be used when quantitative estimates of fire brigade operational times are required.

This guideline has been developed to provide a guide to support consideration of the intervention activities of fire brigades into building design.

The guideline must be used with the latest AFAC Fire Brigade InterventionModel Dataset.

The Fire Brigade Intervention Model Dataset is designed only for use with AFAC’s Fire Brigade Intervention Model Manual. Any use of the data other than for what it is intended is not recommended and cannot be guaranteed.

For proper use of the FBIM manual and dataset, please refer to Section 4 of AFAC’s Fire Brigade Intervention Model Manual
