Learning lessons from reviews and Inquiries

Our second webinar brings together Euan Ferguson and Mick Keelty, two of Australia’s most experienced independent reviewers to share their insights on their review processes, how they identify lessons and what recurring issues they have identified.

Guest speakers:

  • Euan Ferguson
Euan Ferguson is a forester and fire / emergency manager. Since retiring in 2015 he has been sought after to provide risk assurance and advice to governments, organisations and communities. His interests include landscape risk management, distributed leadership and community resilience and capacity building.

  • Mick Keelty
Mick Keelty has been engaged by several state governments over the course of the past decade to review the responses from emergency services to a number of bushfire incidents. The Reviews have all had a slightly different focus and have been conducted in consultation with other commensurate reviews/investigations such as those with state coroners or, in the more recent bushfires, with the 2020 Royal Commission.
