This forum showcases the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, WA (DFES) Thrive at Work and SMART Work Design programs undertaken to improve their workforce’s mental health.

The Thrive at Work program looks at how to take employees, organisations and industry beyond wellbeing, towards thriving. Learn about the Thrive at Work initiative and its underpinning world-leading framework applied within an emergency services context.

The SMART Work Design program focusses on how good work design practices have positive impacts on individuals, teams and organisations. Awareness of the SMART Work Design module and an understanding of how this framework can be used to help design meaningful and motivating work within an emergency services context.

This forum is targeted at those who support the mental health and wellbeing of emergency services personnel, senior operational and corporate executive leaders, health professionals and frontline operational personnel with a particular interest in this topic.

This event has been sponsored by Stewart & Heaton, as part of the Leading Practice in Mental Health Award, announced as part of the AFAC22 powered by INTERSCHUTZ in August 2022.
