Stewart and Heaton Mental Health and Wellbeing Masterclass
Wellbeing: the Tasmanian Context - Proceedings
11 May 2022
Since 2019, the Tasmanian Emergency Services have combined together to redefine every aspect of supporting our people. The purpose of this masterclass was to describe the approach taken, the investments made, and the outcomes achieved. The forum commenced with an examination of the strategic approach. It then looked to the award-winning preventive program ‘MyPulse’. Session two looked at something completely different – how The Australian Antarctic Division delivers wellbeing support to the expeditioners. The final session focused on the Wellbeing Support response to the Hillcrest primary school disaster that occurred in December 2021. The focus was on the response plan and the lessons learnt.
This event has been sponsored by Stewart & Heaton, as part of the Leading Practice in Mental Health Award, announced as part of the virtual AFAC21 powered by INTERSCHUTZ in October 2021.
The topic has been chosen by the winner of the award, Tasmanian Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management and is supported by the AFAC Mental Health and Wellbeing Group.
