AFAC Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan

AFAC recognises the importance of reconciliation in creating stronger, safer, more inclusive and resilient communities. Through this partnership with Reconciliation Australia, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to honouring the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have cared for and protected Country for tens of thousands of years, embodying a deep respect and understanding of its natural rhythms and challenges.

Through our role in the industry, AFAC supports our members and stakeholders to protect lives, property and the environment, to reduce risk and build resilience within our communities.

As we move toward a future where these natural rhythms are increasingly impacted by changing climate, reconciliation creates a pathway to strong, respectful and collaborative relationships in service of a shared focus on protecting lives, and Country.

Alongside this shared purpose, AFAC recognises the importance of reconciliation in creating stronger, safer, more inclusive and resilient communities. Through this partnership with Reconciliation Australia, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to honouring the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

It is with this understanding that AFAC has chosen to undertake a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for our organisation. We are proud to take this step and commit to working closely with our employees, stakeholders, and communities to contribute to a more inclusive and unified Australia. Together, we can honour the past, build trust, and create a safer, stronger future for all.
