Our guideline

(see full document attached below)

This guideline has been prepared by the AFAC Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Technical Group to assist AFAC members with PPE-related matters, both contractual and operational.
The terminology ‘should’ identifies non-mandatory requirements, and is consistent with terminology used in the development of Australian and international standards. Therefore this information is considered guidance and not
mandatory.
This guideline may also be used as a quick reference document for the compliance of PPE with the most appropriate Australian or international standards and guidance on its selection, use, care and maintenance
(SUCAM).
This guideline also provides practical steps that may be followed with respect to carrying out a risk assessment process, including the identification of possible hazards and how the risk of exposure may be managed by the use of appropriate items of PPE.
