Manager, Emergency Management Professionalisation Scheme - Industry Workforce Development, AFAC
Reporting to the Director, Industry Workforce Development, this role is a 6 months secondment to AFAC to will support the refresh of the Emergency Management Professionalisation Scheme (EMPS). This position supports AFAC members in progressing the 2024 Emergency Management Professionalisation Scheme (EMPS) vision—to build confidence in the capability of emergency management practice across Australia and New Zealand. EMPS enables sector leaders to identify highly skilled, current, and competent professionals, ensuring the delivery of strong public safety outcomes through a contemporary, capable, and assured emergency management workforce. The role requires experience in high-level strategy, marketing skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to work with a diverse range of people. The role requires a multi-skilled, proactive, and creative person who can manage the delivery of key priorities in a complex environment. The occupant of this role will be adept at working autonomously, self-organising, managing priorities, and engaging with stakeholders.
