Basic Home Fire Safety training materials

The Basic Home Fire Safety training materials have been developed by fire and emergency services from across Australia in support of the development of skills and competencies for those involved in community service work.

The Basic Home Fire Safety training materials support knowledge evidence assessment requirements for Units of Competency from the CHC Community Services Training Package and the HLT Health Training Package. For a list of units of competency and qualifications which include fire safety see below.

Version 2 of the training materials is now available for free after completing and submitting the form below.

In addition to their use for formal training qualifications delivered by registered training organisations (RTOs), Australian fire services recommend their use by community care agencies as part of induction of new workers and skills maintenance of existing workers.
