At the September AFAC Council meeting Commissioner Lee Johnson QFRS was elected President of AFAC for the next two years.

Commissioner Johnson replaces the outgoing President Euan Ferguson CEO CFS.  AFAC congratulates Commissioner Johnson on his appointment and looks forward to a productive two years with him at the helm.  

Also appointed at the Council meeting where:

• Deputy President Greg Mullins, Commissioner NSWFB,
• Treasurer Tony Blanks, Manager Fire Management Forestry Tasmania,
• Director Mike Hall, Chief Executive NZFS  
• Director Bob Conroy Executive Director, Department of Environment, Climate change and Water NSW
