The AFAC Conference is just next week with another bumper crowd expected this year.  Registrations are still being taken and can be done through the conference website.

Featured at this years Conference is the Tree Project; a community led arts based fire recovery project, aimed at creating a lasting memorial for those communities affected by the fires of 7 February 2009. This project began shortly after the fires with an idea for a memorial from one blacksmith. The idea has inspired hundreds of people and has now been embraced by blacksmiths around the world, who are busy making leaves for the tree.

A team of Blacksmiths will be at the Conference working on the tree and conference attendees will be able to support the project.
