Chief Superintendent Richard Griffiths from NSW Fire Brigades has been confirmed as the 2009 AFAC Annual Visiting Fellow to the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM).

Richard Griffiths has been the Assistant Director for Learning and Development with the NSW Fire Brigades for the past two years and is strongly committed to the professional development of personnel within the fire services and the broader public safety agencies. He will work closely with AFAC to ensure that the needs of the members are well represented at the AIPM.

Richard has been working in the firefighting service for 32 years spending time as a Firefighter, Station Commander, Duty Commander/Inspector and Manager Professional Development prior to his current role. His 12 month appointment as AFAC Annual Visiting Fellow to the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM) will commence mid January.
