New Name for NSW Fire Brigades

From 1 January 2011 the NSW Fire Brigades (NSWFB) will change its name to Fire and Rescue NSW.

Today's NSWFB is a contemporary, service-based organisation which has grown significantly since first being established a hundred years ago.

While NSWFB's name and look may change in 2011, there will be no change in the way emergency services are delivered in NSW. Fire and Rescue NSW will continue to be a part of the state's network of vital emergency services which work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Please be aware that in an emergency, the public should continue to access Fire and Rescue NSW by calling Triple Zero (000).
