Development of AIIMS 4th Edition
AFAC is conducting the review of the AIIMS 3rd Edition and the development of the 4th Edition, working closely with the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA), fire and emergency services and other users.
The revisions will be informed by the needs of the AFAC members, the Police jurisdictions, the NCTC ICCS model, other hazard users, and non-emergency users of the AIIMS 3rd Edition.
Stuart Ellis, Leading Emergency Services, will facilitate the project, which has commenced.
Stuart is currently developing an Issues Paper on the aspects of the 3rd Edition that need discussion. A group of senior practitioners led by Commissioner Greg Mullins, Fire & Rescue, NSW, will give Stuart guidance on these matters which will lead to the drafting of the 4th Edition.
This will be circulated for comment by users of AIIMS.
