The AFAC Business Management Group (BMG) fosters and promotes an integrated approach to business management by identifying opportunities to optimise the use of resources. It's role is to develop strategies to expand current funding arrangements and to pursue opportunities to achieve efficiencies as well as cost effective use of resources.
The group's membership consists of highly skilled and experienced industry specialists who are capable of influencing their agency's values, culture and strategy. Most members have responsibility for corporate planning, finance, administration, asset management and other key corporate services functions. In participating on the BMG, representatives look to share experiences, work together to negotiate benefits for agencies as well as for the industry as a whole and develop consistent approaches to business administration where appropriate.
The BMG plays a key role in relation to a number of AFAC Goals and Objectives as outlined in its Strategic Plan 2008-2015. Of significant importance is the administrative arrangements for cross border deployments and the smooth resolution of any funding and resourcing issues.
