ACSES comprises the eight CEOs, Directors and Commissioners of Australia’s state and territory emergency services. They collectively form the Australian Council of State Emergency Services (ACSES). The Group considers national policy issues and topics specific to SES services and advances its work through a range of committees, including:
- National Education and Training
- Equipment Officers
- SES Doctrine
- Public Communication
- OH&S
The Group also administers SES data collection provided to the Emergency Management Working Group of the Productivity Commission and monitors the involvement of the SES’s involvement in the Emergency Management Information Development Plan.
