AFAC's annual conference, currently run in conjunction with the Bushfire CRC, is among the largest on the Australasian conference calendar.  It is one of AFAC's most important activities, fulfilling a number of crucial functions:

  • Sharing of information and creation of new knowledge
  • Professional development forum for fire and emergency services
  • Networking between emergency management professionals
  • Exposure to trade suppliers

The conference features international and local speakers across all areas of interest to the industry. It also features a large trade suppliers exhibition and a major poster exhibition.  Trade support of the conference as well as many AFAC/Bushfire CRC projects is substantial.
